Uni URC Flexible Jaw Coupling       

UNIDRIVE URC coupling is designed for general-purpose use. It is available in both Pilot bore and Taper Bushing design. Taper bushing allows quick and easy installation. The coupling's power capacities are balanced to the appropriate shaft diameter. Following are the characteristics of the coupling:

Resilience: Transient peak loads are reduced by a flexible element, deflection of which is a prime design consideration.

Misalignment: Incidental parallel, angular, axial displacement of the connecting shafts can be accommodated.

Installation: Is quick and easy without special tools, only a hexagonal wrench is required.

Maintenance: Is virtually eliminated and no lubricant is required.

Environment: The nitrite rubber component makes URC suitable for use in most conditions.

Positive engagement: In the unlikely event of the flexible component being destroyed, the drive will be maintained by the interaction of jaws, which are integral part of the flanges.

UNI-DRIVE TYRE COUPLING

FULL RANGE OF UNI-DRIVE FLEXIBLE TYRE COUPLING

UNIDRIVE Tyre coupling incorporates all the desirable features of ideal flexible couplings.
Misalignment.
It is able to accommodate maximum misalignment in all planes (Axial, Angular, Parallel) without imposing undue Loads on the adjacent bearing and without reducing their service life.
Free of backlash
Does not create 'Snatch' on take off of the drive.
Damping
It is torsionally soft and absorbs shock forces very well. Reduces vibrations and torsional oscillations, thus providing smooth running.
Maintenance & Installations

Visual inspection is enough to check on wear and tear before unexpected failure occurs causing expensive down time.  No dismantling required for this purpose. No relative moving parts, thus no need for lubrication. Installation and replacement of the flexible tyre can be carried out quickly without disturbingthe coupled shafts even in inaccessible installation.All these does not required special tools or skill labor. Taper-bushing flanges, by virtue of their versatile design can always be positioned correctly in order that the desired distance between flanges is obtained to alleviate possible axial reaction.

Uni-Drive URN Coupling consist of graded cast iron hubs and a set of "H" Shaped highly resilient blocks which accommodates parallel, angular and axial misalignment & absorbs torsional vibrations. Spacer Type also avialable

Uni DISC AND DISC SPACER Coupling

Lubricating oil is unnecessary because the UNI-DRIVE disc coupling has no sliding, frictional, or moving parts.

Therefore, there is no friction or noise, and energy loss is low, with no dirty oil to cope with.

Higher torsional and no backlash.

For equipment such as machine tools with numerical controllers, indexing system, and printing machines
requiring accruate shaft rotation and phase control, UNI-DRIVE disc coupling are best suited because of their high torsional stiffness.

When properly installed and if initial conditions remain unchanged, UNI-DRIVE disc coupling have an unlimited service life. Required maintenance consists of visual inspectionor the condition of the element(flexible plate) and of the bolts and nuts when operation is stopped. Should the element be damaged due to overload or accident, a fall-safe mechanism transmitting rotation via washers becomes operational.

Uni MCT Pin and Bush Coupling (Taper Bushing Design)

CHARACTERISTICS 

Uni-drive MCT (Cone Pin) coupling consists of sets of resilient "Cone Pin" rings with pins & nuts and two flanged hubs of graded cast iron.

These "Cone Pin" rings are specially shaped to premit the rubber to deflect in all directions and give over four times torsional flexibility as compared to a plain bush.

DESCH HADEFLEX COUPLINGS


The flexible DESCH Hadeflex® couplings are claw couplings with flexible elements to provide a torsionally flexible connection for shafts. The flexible elements excel in their wear resistance, their oil, ozone and ageing resistance and their temperature resistance from -20°C to +80°C.

Thanks to their flexiblility, impacts, rotary vibrations and noises are effectively absorbed. The flexible elements are dimensioned such that radial, axial and angular movements between the two halves of the coupling are cancelled out.

The flexible Hadeflex couplings are of the plug-in type for installation and do not involve any particularly rigorous requirementswith respect to alignment accuracy. The balancing quality is, in accordance with DIN-ISO 1940, in the quality range G 16, Hedaflex couplings can be used in the whole of machine construction wherever a reliable shaft connection is needed bewteen motor and machine.

These sleeves are of two-pieces design with a retaining ring . They are available in either EODM (E) or Neoprene (N). They may be used with any flange within the given size.
H-HS-U
H (Hytrel) and U (Urethane) sleeves designed for hih torque applications, transmit four times as much power as an equivalent EPD or Neoprene sleeve. Available in one-piece solidt construction (H or U) or two-piece split construction (HS), these can be used only with S, C and SC flanges

UNI-STGPR JAW COUPLING

Full range of STGPR coupling and elements catering for different application as follows:

UNI-DRIVE SPGPR couplings are dimensionally manufactured to hub types “A” and “B”, the difference being the maximum shaft diameter which hubs can accept (corresponding respectively to the first and second code number).

The long hub execution “L” (allows full cover of the motor shaft) is available in both “A” and “B” executions.

UNI-UBW Gear Sleeve coupling


UNI-UBW couplings consist of two toothed hubs which are connected with one internally toothed sleeve. The hubs are made of steel and the teeth, which are both profiled and section crowned, are milled.
Features
UNI-UBW couplings are members of the elastic coupling family range. The couplings are well suited for applications with axial, radial, and angular displacement of the connected shafts. The double cardanic action eliminates the imposition of loads on the shafts which results from radial and axial misalignment. The torsional rigidity of the sleeve prevents angular speed variation. The combination of steel hubs with Polyamide sleeve makes the coupling maintenance and lubrication free. The particular toothed profile prevents contact of tooth edges with the sleeve, ensuring long life of the coupling.
Performance
Mounting can be in both the horizontal and vertical planes. Installation is simple and quick, which lowers installation costs. The coupling is suitable for operating in temperatures ranging from - 25°C to + 90°C. For short intervals, temperatures of + 125°C can be tolerated. Components of the coupling are resistant to all types of lubricants and hydraulic fluids.
ATEX 94/9/EC compliance
It is possible to ask for specific certification for use in hazardous area according to EC standard 94/9/EC. TRASCO couplings are available with specific mounting/operating instruction manual and conformity.

Uni-GRID Coupling

Distinctive Features of the GRID Coupling

PARALLEL
The movement of the grid in the lubricated grooves accommodates parallel misalignment and steel permits full functioning of the grid-groove action in damping out shock and vibration.
ANGULAR
Under angular misalignment, the grid -groove design permits a rocking and sliding action to the lubricated grid and hubs without any loss of power through the resilient grid.
END FLOAT
Limited end float of driving and driven members is permitted because the grid slides freely in the lubricated grooves.
TORSIONAL FLEXIBILITY
Torsional flexibility is the Taper Grid Couplings to torsionally deflect when subjected to normal, shock or vibratory loads, providing flexible accommodation to changing load conditions.


Torsional Flexibility

LIGHT LOAD
The grid bears near the outer edges of the hub teeth. The long span between the points of contact remains free to flex under load variations.
NORMAL LOAD
As the load increases, the distance between the supports on the hub teeth is shortened. But a free span still remains to cushion shock loads.
SHOCK LOAD
The coupling is flexible within its rated capacity. Under extreme overloads, the grid bears fully on the hub teeth and transmits full load directly.

Advantages
1.      
When over load, grid is designed to be a part of safety pin and prevent breaking of machinery part or shaft by cutting the grid.
2.      
When the center misalignment is too large, grid coupling can protect the relating machinery part by the virtue shearing of the grid, or cover, or tooth.
3.      
The life span of the parts (mechanical seal and bearing etc.) can be extended two times or more.
4.      
Establishment, assembly and maintenance are easy by getting rid of center misalignment.
5.      
Repair and maintenance is scarcely needed, it reduces maintenance cost and time.
